Termite & Timber Pest Management Course

Undertaking MPL Training Centre’s Termite and Timber Pest Management course by correspondence will allow you to vary your study load to fit in with your work, family or lifestyle commitments.

This training course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to be a competent Termite and Timber Pest Manager.

Upon completion of your training and assessment, you will receive a Statement of Attainment which can be submitted to your government licensing office.

We recommend you complete the General Pest Management course first, however this is not a requirement in all states.

To gain your Termite & Timber Pest Control licence you will require:

Pest Management Training ticked checkbox

CPPUPM3008 (Unit 8) Inspect for and report on timber pests

CPPUPM3010 (Unit 10) Control timber pests

Receiving the course
study materials

Written assessment activities are sent out to the student to complete. As a correspondence student you are asked to perform various course tasks at home and to attend a Three (3) – Four (4) Day Practical Experience Workshop and a Two (2) Day Practical assessment of your job skills and abilities.

Duration

You have up to 12 months to complete this qualification.

Completion of the Course

To complete the course you will need to:

Have your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Complete an activities booklet and knowledge quiz which covers the general principals of pest management and safety

Enrol and pay separately* to attend our Three (3) – Four (4) days Practical Work Experience; and Two (2) day practical assessment

Practical Experience and Assessment Workshops are usually held in Sydney and Brisbane. If this is unsuitable, please speak to us about alternative methods for your practical requirements.
