Termite & Timber Pest Management Course - Correspondence
Undertaking MPL Training Centre's termite and timber pest management course by correspondence will allow you to vary your study load to fit in with your work, family or lifestyle commitments.
This training course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to be a competent Termite and Timber Pest Manager.
The course covers both training and assessment. Upon completion of your training and assessment, you will receive a Statement of Attainment which can be submitted to your government licensing office, insurer or accreditator.
Receiving the course study materials.
Self assessment modules and activities are sent out to the student to complete. As a correspondence student you are asked to perform various course tasks and to participate in an on-site assessment.
To achieve Timber pest accreditation you will require:
CPPPMT3008 (Unit 8) Inspect for and report on timber pests
CPPPMT3010 (Unit 10) Control timber pests
You have up to 12 months to complete this qualification.
Completion of the course
To complete the course you will need to:
- Complete an assessment booklet which covers the general principals of pest management and safety.
- Complete a daily log-book showing each job that you attended.
- Complete an interview
- Participate in an on-site assessment*
* On-site assessments are usually undertaken at our head office in East Gosford NSW. This usually takes about 1-2 hours. Alternatively, we may be able to meet you closer to your home providing that we are already conducting training or assessments near your local area. Please contact us for further details.
